Finding qualified leads is still manual and slow.
Sales teams spend hours scrolling through LinkedIn, Twitter, and email lists trying to find prospects who match their ideal customer profile. Most leads are cold. Most outreach goes unanswered. The conversion rate is brutal.
What if you could find people who were already talking about your product category? People who had demonstrated interest, asked questions, and engaged in conversations about the exact problems you solve? Those leads would be warm, contextual, and significantly more likely to respond.
That's the insight behind Volumn.ai's Lead Finder. It monitors Twitter conversations in real time, identifies people discussing specific keywords and topics, scores them based on engagement and follower quality, and surfaces the highest-potential prospects. We built it. Now we wanted to test it on ourselves.
Three days. One keyword. Real results.
We ran Lead Finder on a single keyword for three consecutive days: May 11–13, 2026. The keyword was broad enough to capture genuine interest but specific enough to filter out noise. We tracked every metric: tweets scanned, leads matched, quality scores, and engagement patterns.
The goal wasn't to hit a vanity number. It was to answer a real question: Can we reliably find warm, engaged prospects from social conversations at scale?
Real-Time Scanning
Lead Finder continuously monitors Twitter for conversations matching your keyword. It doesn't just look at profile bios — it analyzes what people are actually saying, right now, in real conversations.
Smart Scoring
Each prospect gets a quality score based on engagement rate, follower count, content relevance, and account age. High scores indicate warm, active, credible leads — not ghost accounts or bots.
The combination is powerful. Real-time scanning ensures you're finding people at the moment they're most interested. Smart scoring ensures you're reaching out to the right people — the ones most likely to engage.
305–513 tweets. 13–100 qualified leads per day.
Here's what we found when we ran Lead Finder for three days straight:

May 11: 513 tweets → 99 qualified leads
The highest-volume day. Lead Finder scanned 513 tweets and identified 99 prospects with quality scores of 7/10 or higher. This represents a 19% match rate — meaning roughly 1 in 5 tweets came from someone worth reaching out to.
May 12: 342 tweets → 20 qualified leads
Lower volume day, but still consistent. 342 tweets scanned, 20 qualified leads identified. This represents a 5.8% match rate — still a solid conversion from raw conversation volume to actionable prospects.
May 13: 305 tweets → 13 qualified leads
Lowest volume day. 305 tweets scanned, 13 qualified leads. A 4.3% match rate. Even on slower days, Lead Finder consistently identified prospects worth contacting.
The key insight: Lead Finder doesn't just find people talking about your keyword. It finds the right people — the ones with real engagement, real followers, and real buying intent.
Who we found: Engaged creators, founders, and decision-makers.
Lead Finder didn't just surface random accounts. It surfaced real people with real influence and real engagement. Here are some of the prospects we identified:
Vivo (@vivoplit)
7.3K followers · Quality score: 8/10

Pratyush Maini (@pratyushmaini)
3.3K followers · Quality score: 9/10
Founder and builder. Actively discussing product development and customer acquisition. High-quality engagement, low noise.
Joy.xls (@joyibe_)
5.2K followers · Quality score: 8/10
Creator and entrepreneur. Engaged in conversations about tools, automation, and business growth.
Susan B. Rex (@susanbrex)

GIM | Website Developer (@Tech_e4ma)
8.9K followers · Quality score: 9/10
Web developer and builder. Active in technical communities. High engagement, relevant audience.
Ampere.sh (@AmpereSh)
1.5K followers · Quality score: 8/10
Engaged in conversations about tools and automation. High-quality engagement relative to follower count.
Notice the pattern: these aren't random accounts. They're creators, founders, and decision-makers actively discussing the topics they care about. They have real engagement. They're the kind of people you actually want to reach out to.
What we learned about finding warm leads.
1. Volume matters, but quality matters more.
Scanning 500 tweets a day is great, but finding 100 qualified leads is only valuable if those 100 leads are actually worth reaching out to. Lead Finder's scoring system ensures you're not just finding people — you're finding the right people.
2. Real-time is a superpower.
Finding someone 30 seconds after they ask a question about your product category is fundamentally different from finding them in a cold list. They're already thinking about the problem. They're warm.
3. Engagement beats follower count.
Some of our best leads had fewer than 2K followers. But they had high engagement rates and were actively participating in conversations. A 1.5K-follower account with 35% engagement is more valuable than a 100K-follower account with 0.5% engagement.
4. Context is everything.
Knowing that someone asked a question about your product category is infinitely more valuable than knowing their job title or company. It gives you a reason to reach out that feels genuine, not spammy.
