Twitter Advanced Search Tool for X
Build faster, more precise Twitter/X searches for research, lead discovery, and content analysis.
What is Twitter/X Advanced Search?
Twitter Advanced Search (now X Advanced Search) is a powerful search feature that lets you filter tweets by keywords, accounts, dates, engagement metrics, media type, and more. Instead of simple keyword searches, you can combine multiple filters simultaneously to find exactly the content you need.
The problem is that Twitter's native advanced search interface is buried and requires you to memorize complex search operators. This free tool from Volumn.ai gives you a clean visual interface to build those complex search queries without any syntax knowledge. Fill in the fields, click Search, and the tool opens the results directly on Twitter/X.
How to use the Twitter Advanced Search tool
Building a precise X search query takes three steps.
Step 1 — Set your keyword filters. Use "Include All of these Words" for mandatory terms, "Include this Exact Phrase" for precise matches, "Include any of these Words" for OR logic, and "Exclude these Words" to filter out noise.
Step 2 — Apply account and engagement filters. Narrow results to tweets from, to, or mentioning specific accounts. Set minimum thresholds for likes, replies, and retweets to find only high-performing content.
Step 3 — Set date range and media filters. Limit results to a specific time period using the date range fields. Filter by media type to find only image, video, or GIF posts. Click Search to open the results on Twitter/X.
