Step-by-step guide to securely connect your X account to Volumn.ai.
3 min read
Why Connect X?
Connecting your X account lets Volumn.ai agents act on your behalf — auto-replying, scheduling posts, sending DMs, and monitoring accounts. The connection is secured via OAuth 2.0 and can be revoked at any time.
- 1Open the Context page and select your persona.
- 2Click 'Connected with X' next to your persona name.
- 3In the account selector dropdown (top-right), choose your X handle.
- 4Authorise Volumn.ai in the X OAuth popup.
- 5A green 'Connected' badge will appear once the link is established.
Managing Multiple X Accounts
Each persona can be linked to a different X account. You can also add multiple accounts to a single persona for team use.
💡
To disconnect an account, click the × next to the green badge on the Context page. Disconnecting stops all active agents for that account immediately.
Connection checklist
A good connection flow is not just about completing OAuth. It is about making sure the right X account, browser session, and persona are tied together before you start any reply or outreach workflow.
- 1Confirm you are logged into the intended X account in the browser.
- 2Reconnect if the authorization window is stale or interrupted.
- 3Verify the account appears in the correct persona or workspace before moving on.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect my X (Twitter) account to Volumn.ai?+
In Volumn.ai, go to Context, select your Persona, and use the account selector dropdown (top right) to link your X/Twitter handle. The system will prompt you to authorize via the Volumn.ai Chrome extension.
