What is an AI Persona?

An AI Persona is a custom AI agent that learns from your writing style, knowledge base, and preferences. It powers every agent and tool in Volumn.ai — from auto-replies to outreach DMs — so all outputs sound authentically like you.

Creating a Persona

Follow these steps to create your first persona:

  1. 1Log in to Volumn.ai and click '+ New Persona' in the top persona switcher bar.
  2. 2Give your persona a name (e.g., your Twitter handle or brand name).
  3. 3Connect your X (Twitter) account by clicking 'Connected with X' and authorising access.
  4. 4Fill in the Identity tab: Description, Experience, and Purpose fields.
  5. 5Switch to the Product tab to describe what you sell or promote.
  6. 6Add any Extra Requirements that agents should always follow.
  7. 7Click Save — your persona is now ready to power all agents.

Switching Between Personas

You can create multiple personas for different brands or accounts. Use the persona tabs at the top of the screen to switch instantly.

  1. 1Click the desired persona tab in the top navigation bar.
  2. 2All agents and tools will immediately use the selected persona's context.
  3. 3Use the gear icon next to the tabs to reorder or delete personas.

To get the most out of your AI Persona:

Write your Description and Experience in the first person, as if introducing yourself to a new follower. The more specific and authentic your persona context, the more on-brand every agent output will be.
