Creating an AutoDM Task

How to set up and launch an AutoDM broadcast campaign.

Task Configuration

Fill in the AutoDM task form:

  1. 1Enter a Task name (e.g., 'Product launch DM') for easy reference.
  2. 2Select a Customer list from the dropdown, or click 'Create a list'.
  3. 3Choose the Sender account — the X account that will send the DMs.
  4. 4Write your message in the 'Message content' text area.
  5. 5Toggle 'Skip already messaged contacts' to ON (recommended).
  6. 6Optionally enable 'Schedule' and set a future send date/time.
  7. 7Click 'Create task' to queue the broadcast.

Monitoring the Task

After creating the task:

  1. 1The progress bar at the top shows real-time send progress.
  2. 2Click 'Console' (top-right) to see per-DM delivery status.
  3. 3Failed DMs are automatically retried once.
  4. 4The task completes when all contacts have been attempted.

Best Practices

Follow these guidelines for better AutoDM results:

Personalise the opening line even in broadcast DMs — use the recipient's first name if possible. Messages that feel personal have significantly higher response rates.
